A young woman running a wildlife sanctuary in the Australian outback is in for trouble when she is confronted by three kangaroo hunters. Bored with killing kangaroos, they decide to kill the animals in the sanctuary, and when they see how attractive the owner is, they decide to have a little "fun" with her, too. Turns out that they may get a bit more "fun" than they bargained for. (imdb)

Home Alone if Macaulay Culkin was a smokin' hawt Linda Hamilton clone trying to protect wildlife on her outback preserve, while vehemently refusing to wear a bra at all times. Mad Max if Mel Gibson was a trio of inbred crazies skinnin' roos and driving a demon-jeep. The Most Dangerous Game if the most dangerous game was tying that smokin' hawt wildlife preserver to the demon-jeep, slicing up her shirt and driving her around the desert, naked under the sun for none (except me, of course) to see.

Classic Ozploitation about a trio of kangaroo poachers who decide it would be more fun to terrorize the woman working alone at a remote wildlife preserve. She fights back and things quickly escalate into a fight for survival. The bad guys have a cool monster truck, the heroine is tough and resourceful, and the choice 80's music does a great job of keeping the tension high throughout. A simple film made really well.

Andreacchio's Mad-Max-inspired revenge thriller has a few of those schlocky B-movie moments you would expect from the genre. But for the most part, it punches well above its weight, proving to be a direct, pulsating and flashy piece of action entertainment by a director who knows exactly what he's playing at. Classic gender tropes combine with sexual imagery against a pleasingly dusty Australian aesthetic - throw in a few surprises and it adds up to a camp, perverse, exciting guilty pleasure.

Ozploitation all the way, a very fun thriller, with a cheesy eighties synth soundtrack.

One of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. In that it' seems to be exclusively inhabited by icomprehensibly moronic characters and the plot is pretty much exclusively driven by dumb behavior. This was obviously made by a group of people who knew a great cinematographer, but didn't know anyone who could write something resembling any movie ever.

What a nice surprise this was. Did not expect anywhere near this level of craft. Great-looking movie that deserves to be more known.

Simple and effective flick with a very limited cast; it's basically our heroine vs. a group of poachers. The film makes the best out of it's outback locations and delivers entertaining 80+ mins. I enjoyed this more than e.g. "Razorback" which has garnered a bigger cult reputation. It's surprisingly creatively done and well photographed. There are some implausible actions, and the soundtrack doesn't really fit the film. Not quite a hidden gem, but definitely worth a watch for fans of Ozploitatio
