Balachandran (Mammootty), a C.I. of Police on suspension, helps investigate the grisly murder of Thomas Punchakadan (Firoz Khan), the spoiled brat of political kingpin Varghese Punchakadan (Vijayaraghavan), despite the fact that Thomas was a foe of Balachandran, & was in fact responsible for Balachandran being suspended.
