I’d call it an improvement solely for the fact that it takes the first film’s shining strength, an 11 minute continuous action scene, and cranks it up to a 21 minute continuous action scene. The second act is also pretty great, but the climax is where it kinda just whimpers along. Characters and story are about as basic as the first, although I felt ever so slightly more captivated by them this time around. Not a must see, but it has a lot of solid moments, a lot better than expected.

I watched Extraction 1 and 2 back to back and even though this was more action packed, I enjoyed the first movie just a wee more. Overall I like this franchise better than John Wick. From a visual standpoint and adrenaline, they bring the same, but the stories here have sustenance. Not a lot of American films use the Georgian criminal element, so this was a bonus too.

Grinds to a halt whenever Hemsworth isn't hitting someone, but the action is great when it crops up. The hidden cuts are all pretty obvious, but that massive oner is still insanely impressive and ambitious. I'm pretty sure Hargrave will deliver some truly great action films a little further into his career once he has a script that supplies the same caliber of action setups without being total air in between.

Great action in the vein of the original but the thrill of it all is a step down. Absolutely nothing else is needed as there's nothing more in this movie than action.

The action would have been boring without the "oner" gimmick. With it, it's boring and ugly. The plot is hilariously slapdash and everyone is trying so hard to be serious it comes across as very silly indeed. Uninteresting and bad.

Immensely superior to the first movie in every way. The drama truly shines, building much more off of Rake's backstory, the dialogue works to provide both a sense of severity and levity in moments, but let's not beat around the bush, the action is top notch! So immersive and engaging, sometimes hyper realistic, sometimes cheesy as hell, the movie still manages to balance things out to feel like a well-rounded action flick that can hold its own with the best of them.

The action in the first was better, not that the action here sucked. The choreography is still great. It doesn't hit John Wick levels but it flirts with it. The combat is crunchy and physical, and Hemsworth is perfect here. It fizzles out a little more at the end than the first one did, but it also had a stronger emotional kick. So while I think this is a little lesser than the first as a whole, these movies are surprisingly good.

Such a manly movie. Choreography of action scenes is simply amazing. Movie would be better if they made motives of various characters more believable.

I loved this movie. It felt more personal than the original, which kept me drawn into the story better, but my god that ~30 minute virtual one shot sequence was incredible, probably one of the best action scenes I've ever seen. I really enjoyed this, and can't wait for the next one!

The action scenes here are bigger than in the first film but I felt they weren't filmed as well this time. None of the forced emotional beats landed and the whole thing just felt a little lackluster, to be honest.

It's head-splitting action from beginning to end, with more impressive long takes. If you want anything more out of this, you're looking in the wrong place.

falls for the sequel trap where every mission goes wrong, and he sustains lethal levels of damage as often as the Terminator. The story is still trash, and the overall tone is less brutal than the first film. The actions sequences are improved tho. There's some great stuff here, in between the filler that brings it to feature length. An old-school action flick, with CGI explosions. It's everything The Expendables tried to be. It even has a polar express train sequence.

Improves on the first film, if only slightly. I still feel like there's a lack of emotion in some of the key scenes, although Hemsworth does what he can with the material. The film features some truly stunning action sequences, bigger and more explosive than the first film. The script sometimes feels like it goes on autopilot when it comes to the scenes between the action and with some improvement could have been truly great.

It strains plausibility, but the action is ten times slicker and more riveting than in the first installment. Likewise, the character dynamics actually have some meat this time around, so the drama scenes feel engaging instead of coming across as boring filler.

Tyler Rake ölmez. Ölemez. Ölümden son anda dönen Tyler Rake, eski ex eşinin, kardeşinin çocuklarını, mafyanın hapishanesinden kurtarmaya çalışır. Güzel aksiyon sahneleriyle, eski filmlere şapka çıkartmışlar. Chris Hemsworth harika. Kötü adamların çocuklarını kurtarma operasyonu filmi beğendim derse hadi ordan derseniz. Görsellik böyle değişik 1 şey. Filmin sonunda, Idris Elba. James Bond ve Ethan Hunt ile tanıştıracağım seni.

B Version of the over the top violent John Wick type movie that would be worse than the original Extraction if not held up by a fun villain.

I think I enjoyed it slightly more thanthe first, since the ‘innocents’ were a bit more relatable. But the main atraction are the action scenes, and boy are they much bigger, and better!

A teenage boy learns that his tendency to identify with his father more than his mother is based on doubtful assumptions, and a man learns that saying sorry is just a bit too easy but saying thank you never hurts. The digitally sutured “single shot” action scenes from both movies defy explanation (at least as far as this viewer’s explanatory powers are concerned) and are undoubtedly highly impressive feats, even though one has no idea what’s “real”.

Extraction 2 is basically a movie set up to justify an impressive action scene. Because of this, the same phenomenon occurs as in the previous film: with the best scenes positioned at the beginning, the rest are mediocre, generic and anticlimactic.

Feels like a Call of Duty game, especially the initial prison breakout and train sequence. Action is pretty good and it has far more weight than the JW sequels. Some cool action sequences throughout and paced decently. Maybe not quite as good as the first, because Sandro is fucking annoying, but still up there.

Balls to the wall action as expected. Solid but not great. Some of the writing was absurd, but we had fun. Some creative kills. Was fun to see the goliath Levan Saginashvili in a role here. 7.2
