Pretty awful. And still no Dudikoff.

Yeah, it's just no good. Some good splatter and fighting here and there, but plot feels insanely bad and everyone involved seems utterly bored.

It is simulatenously watchable and bad. What's frustrating about this franchise is that the core appeal of the actual franchise is forgotten after Part 2.

Why ?

Saw the trailer. Knew it was going to be a Grade D film. Still partially enjoyed it nevertheless.

Expend4bles…if you will, feels like a franchise that lacked a whole transmission, let alone any sort of gas. Between it’s none existent narrative that would make even the most barebones narrative, look like Shawshank, and it’s lack of OG staples including Stallone himself, makes this feel like it a bargain bin-straight to video feature. Statham tries with this passing of the torch, but he couldn’t save it from its hideous green screen, let alone anything other of it’s extensive issues.

This was honestly just disappointing

Expendfourbles quadruptles down on the action. You know what you're getting into. Watching Megan Fox chew lines as she blankly stares off screen distracts you just long enough to squeeze in the necessary exposition between explosions. There is a storyline here, I'll give them credit where it's due.

Even though it seems to get off on the right foot with some rather enjoyable banter between Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham, it soon starts to go downhill. The former is nowhere to be seen for most of the duration, and though the latter is still the film's MVP, the same can't be said for his mostly underwhelming partners. The action is rarely arresting, the writing is formulaic, the visual effects are below par, and there's no chemistry or spark to be found in the largely bland proceedings.

They should have called this the Statham4bles

This outing really needed more big, new names in the cast. Tony Jaa is the best new addition to this series. The plot is predictable and there are not enough original action sequences. Overall this movie is disappointing.

This was watchable thanks to most of the cast, Megan Fox was embarrassingly terrible though. The visuals were cringeworthy and the dialogue wasn't any better. To make matters worse they seemed to be mocking the characters by having them be lame caricatures of themselves.

Used to like this series very much, but the last two chapters has gone down the drain. This takes the cake with the lengthy and boring final one-man-army act.

what's funny to me is that it's the fourth movie of the saga and I still don't know who anyone is supposed to be

Disappointment

Jason Statham carries the workload, but this one still lips badly.

“Expend4bles” is the fourth installment in The Expendables franchise, featuring an ensemble of action stars taking on a new villain played by Iko Uwais. While it retains the franchise’s mindless action and some humor, the film suffers from a depleted cast, lackluster graphics, and a forgettable plot, making it feel uninspired and unnecessary.

Painfully generic

First of all - calling this "Expend4bles" instead of "Expendables 4" just makes it way too hard to find on this website. Anyways. This was, uh... well it was a movie, that's for sure. This is the dictionary definition of a 5/10. The plot plods along and let's face it, it never really feels like there are any stakes. The performances, while I guess believable to an extent, are a little too winky-at-the-camera for my taste. Feels like a made-for-TV offering instead of a big-budget theatrical.

God damn this is a waste of a fun cast. One of the new additions to the team? That's right, it's 50 Cent. Woo. Bike chase scene on a ship? Yeah, great idea! (Sarcasm). How about a cop out ending that kills the emotion in not one, but TWO sacrifices? Terrible one-liners. That's right. It's all here. You may think I hate this movie but I still got some enjoyment out of it, ultimately. Some of the action is still good (mostly from Statham and Uwais), but almost everyone has their moment.
