Evensong

Evensong (1934) becomes a little highbrow in it's wall of songs. So much that it's actors are merely cardboard clippings as Evelyn Laye voice roams across the screen for majority of this operatic musical. Laye finally does get to display some acting skills toward the end, but they definitely could have done that more along the way to hit a harder climax.
