Greedy manager of the Saraswathy Vilasam Upper Primary School, Shankunni Nair (Nedumudi), promises to appoint Shankaranarayanan (Sreenivasan) to the new vacancy in the school & takes bribe from him, but Gokulakrishnan (Mukesh), a previous substitute teacher with a lawful claim to the job, turns up. Shankunni refuses to oblige Gokulakrishnan & a troubled Gokulakrishnan resorts to various means to get the job.
