Yes, Jennifer Garner's a bit of alright (mmm boy), but there's no reason to sit through this dungheap of a movie to see her when the internet exists. She also spends most of the movie protecting a sullen teenage girl who I'd have no problem seeing bumped off with extreme prejudice.

Usually, when a film is classified as Action/Adventure, there is at least enough action to keep the viewer awake. Elektra fails at being a fun movie. Not only is the story stupid and uninteresting, but the action is minimal, due to the movie's unnecessarily long running time. Utter crapulence!

Okay Jennifer Garner doesn't technically give a bad performance, given the wretched material, but it's nothing to defend. This movie is probably the most boring a comic book/action movie can get. It also takes itself completely seriously, which is the death blow.

If you didn't like Daredevil, you won't like Elektra. If you did like Daredevil, you stil won't like Elektra. This is half the movie Daredevil is. This is carrer ending bad, let's hope Jennifer Garner makes some better movies, and soon. The whole OCD scene, WTF!?! The young ward... huh? Elektra isn't supposed to be sympathetic, she's supposed to be a badasked assassin. Sigh. I'll go watch Batman Begins again.

Starts off tolerable enough, but just like any movie featuring a kid, well... Garner is actually better than decent here, and she looks pretty darn humpable too. Yeah, I said humpable. It's bad, but not as bad as it's reputation. It's a hell of a lot better than Daredevil at least. Speaking of Daredevil... Bullseye takes her out no problem there, but here we're made to believe she's virtually unstoppable. WTF?

Top badass moment? The ‘talent’ turning up at The Hand’s council meeting. I don’t think that was on the agenda, but it was good to see worker representation on the board being supported by the Chair. It was also good to see a proper succession strategy being discussed and everyone fully on-boarded and supportive of an effective, performance focused culture. If there was one weak area it was probably diversity, but I’m sure they’re working on it. 1 decapitation, no cats or chainsaws.

As bad as advertised. When the fact that your gorgeous lead actress is gorgeous in your movie is pretty much the only thing you have going for it, it's usually not a great sign. Large swaths make no logical sense whatsoever. The action is occasionally not terrible, but certain major battle scenes are infuriatingly dumb looking. Elektra and her opponents' powers and abilities are never really particularly well defined. Bad stuff.

Elektra was supposed to continue on from where Daredevil left off. I can only speculate what happened but I'm sure a mix of factors ended up making this movie even worse than Daredevil. The introduction of the Hand was a good addition. Those bad guys' powers were badass and they did a good job of showing why Elektra is a badass. I've never been a fan of Jennifer Garner but her performance in this movie was especially dull. I don't think the girl and her father's story was written or acted well.

This possibly plays better now in the wake of the more overblown and convoluted MCU entries; the stripped down narrative gives this tale a breezy efficiency and is enhanced by some luscious cinematography and creative directorial and editing decisions which are quite beautifully rendered. Plot-wise this makes little sense, but I don't necessarily require that of my superhero movies; everything makes sense in the moment and throw in a sardonic Stamp as the mentor in support, and you've sold me!

More subdued than "Daredevil", but less entertaining than its other superpowered brethren, Elektra" survive on charm alone, having just enough levity and stylish action to make for a viewing experience that isn't totally intolerable, despite being the poster child for "it's on TV but I'm too lazy to change the channel" entertainment.

For a film built around the kind of badass comic book antihero that generally requires the presence of a more noble-hearted hero to be interesting to anyone old enough to drink (see Punisher), this worked for me. The biggest problem here is the film pretends there's a character arc even though the "decency" she's allegedly missing is never remotely in doubt. Still, the cinematography & Garner are beautiful to look at &, like the comic, the fight scenes are often interestingly stylized.

I liked this movie better than I thought I would. Elektra was a feeling, emotional human being and it was interesting to see her love for a man and his daughter be possibly prevented by her evil enemies. I didn't appreciate the lesbian kiss scene though. Overall well done Jennifer!

Elektra is not a terrible film, nor is it even really a bad one. It's got some wasted time, and a lot of wasted potential, but it's definitely entertaining, at least for the most part. This is a role that Garner fits well in, as it doesn't require much emotion, and she does well with the character. While the story could have been tighter and wasted less time, I still have to give Elektra a pass. I had enough fun while watching it to say it was worth my time.

Garner's Marvel character ended up dead in _Daredevil_, but she's resurrected here, a fate not likely to happen to this movie's reputation. Lackluster fight scenes, Garner's sleepwalking, and a tendency toward the psychoanalytic (Elektra had a tough childhood) make this a groan... a far cry from the franchise it was intended to launch.

This wasn't nearly as bad as everyone said it was. The main character actually had depth, the direction was on, her motivations were clear, and the whole thing had a dose of plausibility. Another Marvel flop. I'm sure the comics are great, but the movie sucks pretty hard. The only reasons to see this is if 1.) For some unknown reason you find Jennifer Garner hot, or 2.) You're a comic fanatic who can't help watching something comic-related even after being told it sucks. All that trash being said, the special effects and fighting were 'alright'. The action is the only reason this isn't getting a 40.

Boring and uninvolving. The main fault of this movie, like most movies based on comic book characters is terrible character development. The character development feels rushed and unimportant. Oh no! Elecktra might get killed - but why do I care? Here are some random badguys, neato powers, but do they have a the slightgest trace of personality? I certainly can't see any. I can only imagine this movie would be slightly interesting to hardcore fans.
