El presidio

Before they had learned to dub or subtitles their movies properly, they "simply" re-shot the movie for the markets they wanted to distribute the films. This for example is the Spanish language version of the hit jail movie The Big House (1930). Follows the original very closely, but with Spanish speaking actors it becomes a different dynamic. The Spanish one feels more at ease, relaxed joking around. Not as thrilling as the English speaking version, but still a fine alternative.
