Easy to Love

half aquatic performances (some actually kind of fun) half 3 guys fawning over esther williams, none of whom have any chemistry with her and all of whom are written as assholes so when she finally does decide on one of them it's totally baffling why she chose any of these self-loving jerks.

The characters couldn't decide what they wanted and there as really no reason for their waffling and arguing. Esther Williams reminded me of Doris Day, but more shrill and not as likable; this movie was similar to a (bad) DD film. The water scenes were boring to me. Busby B. has done some great things, but here all the shots were too distant. No close-ups of smiles and legs! Also something about the 50's fashions/girls/sexism isn't as attractive as 30's fashion/girls/sexism.
