East Lynne (1925) felt less stuffy than the 1916 and 1931 versions, but I'm not quite sure where the enjoyment was. I got to be honest and say the story of East Lynne has never really engaged me. That automatically limits some of it. But for me, I think the biggest flaw was that this one has the weakest female lead of the three.
