Eagle Squadron

An ambitious aerial combat film from producer Walter Wanger and Universal Pictures. However, with it's rather realistic approach, it also becomes terribly slow and dull a lot of the time. The flight scenes are so long that you almost forget any progress in between the combat. There is an nice atmosphere to it, but not much in the star department. Robert Stack & Diana Barrymore managed to carry the film alright, but the pacing of the film slowed down any impact the two would have.
