Anyone who is a fan of Dylan Moran's boozy, angry rants from the Black Books TV series will be right at home with his stand-up work. His material covers a lot of the usual stand up comedy tropes, but his delivery is fantastic and wickedly funny.

Well crafted stand-up set is very much a piece with Moran’s particular brand of acerbic misanthropy – possibly a little too intensely acrid if you’re not on his wavelength, but the commitment to his craft is to be admired, as he even occasionally lapses into Kaufman-esque aggression towards his audience! Quite a lot of fun if you’re in the mood.

Nobody owns the premature curmudgeon character quite as well as Dylan Moran. I also admire his stage craft, he strings together barbed observations as masterfully as Rodney Dangerfield did jokes, given the illusion of one long sustained rant rather than a series of pre-written bits most years old some new. A very fun comedian to watch work.
