Drums of Love

One of the rarer D.W. Griffith films, and for good reason. So slow! There is perhaps 15 minutes worth of plot in this love triangle and not nearly enough passion needed for the long scenes to gain that emotional boost. What it does have is Lionel Barrymore as a awesome looking troll... or perhaps it was a Mexican/Spaniard they were going for. Regardless what was the intention, he looks hideous!
