Drown

Frequently in adaptions of stage-plays the dialogue isn't ironed out well enough for the screen & comes across as unusually verbose, Drown is no different. My main crutch though is with the motivation of the 3rd wheel character in this film, covering the contradiction of Australian masculinity & accepting homosexuality. Why is he on that beach? Maybe if it was set-up that he was eying off the lead..but that wasn't established & he bizarrely agrees to be an accessory to rape/ attempted murder..
