Dreaming Out Loud

Dreaming Out Loud (1940) is a little on the sentimental side, but being about two sentimental old small town fools it sort of had to be like that. Based on the Lum & Abner radio show with the same actors reprising their roles for the big screen. The two would do seven Lum & Abner movies from 1940-56, and that's basically all they did in Hollywood. Definitely interesting as a popular culture cross-over. Well meaning story of how small communities should be, with kindness driving the way forward.
