Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero

The 3-D animation looked really cheap, and the story was okay but I'm not the biggest fan of the later-generation characters. This didn't really feel like a Dragon Ball movie, though that wasn't a bad thing or a good one for that matter. This was just a fun, mostly silly good time.

A tight story focusing on historically background characters. It fleshes them out, and resolves some longstanding canonological issues and abandoned character arcs in an interesting and earned way for them. It brings them back to relevance for the larger series, and remain compelling story arcs within this movie itself. The new style of animation was off-putting at first, but what they're now able to do with perspective makes it worthwhile, and will allow much faster production in the future.

Not quite as good as 'Dragon Ball Super: Broly' but still very well animated and enjoyable. The fact that the movie focuses on Piccolo instead of Goku and Vegeta makes it a must watch by default.

Finally, a DB movie that focuses on Gohan and the rest of the Z-Senshi instead of just Goku and Vegeta! Pan is ultra-adorable. Piccolo got a serious upgrade while also re-affirming his title as the best surrogate father/grandfather ever. Bulma... continues to be my least favorite character since I got over my childhood crush of her. Also the new Androids are great. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Broly is better...

interesting humor and plot. Fighting was really gud. When I saw 3D, my first impression was that it's gonna be shit cuz anime 3d usually is, but me very surprised.

A Dragon Ball movie that focuses on the side characters instead of Goku and/or Vegeta, and that alone makes it the best one by a mile.
