Most remarkable thing about this film was that it was the directorial debut of one Anthony Mann. Dr. Broadway might not compare to his legendary westerns, not in quality or content, but it's a competent first day at the job. Well paced and snappy for what's clearly a routine script to work with and making Macdonald Carey come across as a guy studios can depend upon.
