Down a Dark Hall

I just read a review on IMDb complaining they didn't like Down a Dark Hall because it was...wait for it...too dark. Not like, "macabre" dark or "Human Centipede 3" dark. No, literally, too dark. Like "when you close your eyes" dark. Because nothing says Gothic supernatural teen thriller like "Down a Perfectly Well-Lit Hall."

Uma Thurman with a foreign accent and AnnaSophia Robb all grown up? Color me intrigued! The film turned out to fit both these actresses declining careers perfectly however. Must be an all time career low for both.

Korku filmi unsurlarının hepsi kullanılmış. Tek iyi tarafı kusursuz ilerleyen kurgusu. Can sıkıntısı gidermek için birebir. Aşırı sıçratma sahneleri yok. Filmin sonunda herşey yanıp kül oluyor. Çoğu karakter de mefta. Yaşadığı yer malikane. Her cümlesi şairane.

authentic and maybe unnecessarily dark ambiance is good enough for jazz. but the story has more cliches than you can imagine. it's like another mediocre production with the stereotypes of this specific horror genre. for example; evil mistress or fire on ending. after all these, remaining 30 points goes to concept of mathematics, painting and music classes, other 10 points goes to Annasophia Robb's effort.

Good acting from angry girls but overally very mediocre effort. For one watching.
