The English language version of this was both too French and too British for me. I love stop motion animation, Jan Svankmajer, Bruce Bickford and Art Clokey are some of my heroes. Cloyingly over-cutesy and pretty dull, we really couldn't finish this one.

"Trippy and delightful" doesn't do it justice. Inspired visuals, genuinely surreal story, amazing voice work and memorable songs. It's kind of a cute yet also creepy masterpiece. Saw the english version voiced by the brilliant Eric Thompson and the sonically mesmerizing Fenella Fielding.
