A wife-swapping 'comedia ranchera' somehow bridging Bergman's Smiles of a Summer Night with Wedding Crashers. One of the weirdest happiest musicals you'll ever see, with Don Juans cuckolded and mild incest easily dismissed. There's a split-screen musical sequence that's truly special, thanks to the clear star talent (Negrete and Infante), in their only film together. González and Varela anchor the picture with some emotion - helpful, when passions run high. Bros before hos, but hos trump bros.
