A British holiday horror Christmas slasher with a twist on the killer Santa gimmick. Instead of a killer Santa Claus, the people dressed like old St. Nick are the ones being killed. This leads to a plot about Scotland Yard trying to solve the mysterious Santa murders in a more giallo style mystery/crime/thriller than your typical 80's teen slasher. Despite some decent kills and cheap boobs, the film never really develops into a solid B-movie, or sadly even devolve into becoming so-bad-it's-good.

This had much more of a giallo feel than your average video nasty, but was still very much a mid-80's slasher. It actually represents an interesting deviation in your typical santa slasher formula, in that, rather than a guy in a santa suit going around slashing and killing non-santas, which represents the santa slasher norm, this features a masked, non-santa killer going around slashing and killing (primarily) guys in santa suits.

Christmas-loving Londoners will enjoy this. Everyone else, including Christmas-loving Londoners, will regard this as a disaster. Although it is the first time in a film that I've seen a man's penis cut off whilst urinating.

Tacky yuletide slasher from the makers of _Pieces_ -- so you know what to expect. Purdom walks through the role of an investigating Scotland Yard man with a guilty secret (his direction is a guilty secret as well), while the curvaceous Caroline Munro enlivens things briefly in a musical cameo as herself.

BlurayRip RARBG.

I was expecting this to be a complete piece of shit given most of the ratings I've seen but I was entertained more often than not. The movie is very low budget and sleazy as hell and it never really allows itself to be fun. Its a decent giallo/slasher hybrid that has a disappointing climax but a satisfying end scene.

This British Christmas slasher is not very good, but it is heavy on mood. You can practically smell the stuffy pubs and spilled beer on the carpets. The film has a sleazy and mean tone which makes an interesting contrast with the Christmas setting. It also feels older than 1984, more of a proto-slasher.

Trashy gorefest with some decent set pieces. I enjoyed it as a low budget 80s slasher movie.
