Black & white with extremely crappy lighting feels like an amateur production. Really annoying music and audio. Ridiculous dialog. Feels just like a bad 50's movie. The entire movie is a collection of random scenes without much to hold it together. Jenny Lewis was really cute in this movie. Tobey Mcquire's acting was silly. Leonardo DiCaprio was just OK. The movie feels random, unplanned and cobbled together. Not really very interesting.

The editing is a bit awkward, but it was a very entertaining film, with realistic dialogue. Reminded me of a more modern version of Clerks.

One of the most realistic films ever made. The characters and their dialogue feels like it's brimming off the screen. These folks are likeable, hateable, relatable, and convincing. It's amazing how this ordinary evening draws out to reveal the inner workings of these characters through awkward editing, personal camera-work, and really fun and sometimes dramatic improvisational dialogue that wouldn't sound out-of-place in real-life. Respect!
