Probable one of the best Don Quixote films out there. This is a Spanish adaptation handled by Rafael Gil and it feels more fleshed-out than the other versions I've seen. That mainly being the various language versions starring Feodor Chaliapin Sr. in the 1930s, while this one has Rafael Rivelles in the title role, along with Juan Calvo as Sancho, being less theatrical in their presence than Chaliapin. Therefore the humor worked better, and it felt even more like a proper adventure. Mental fun!
