An in-depth study of John Waters' early career, up through the making of "Pink Flamingos", and his creative partnership with Divine. Lots of interviews with some very knowledgeable people yield a detailed chronicle of a part of movie history that doesn't get talked about a lot. It's an invaluable document, in fact. The inclusion of the pearl-clutching film review board member is genius...she's probably STILL aghast.

This is much better than I expected (that poster needs work.) For a low budget production, it's incredibly cohesive, well edited, informative, and entertaining. With well over 100 interviews, seemingly half of Baltimore, this film feels genuine and complete. Never boring or excessive.

Good watch for anyone interested in filmmaking or film history. Allows the subjects to pretty much speak for themselves which makes it insightful and laid back although not super penetrating.

Its perspective of filming one of the filthiest films ever made had to be this long in the making, and it knew when to be released to the public.
