I think John Cusack is trying to beat Nicolas Cage.

Dull paranoia thriller tries an awkward paraphrase of ROSEMARY'S BABY but never manages to raise a jot of suspense or even coherence as its strange plot plays out; at its comparative best in the first act as the pieces are laid out, (and where Ricci's good effort of a performance is showcased), before becoming overheated and absurd once shadowy Cusack enters the frame; some of his lines (and line-readings) are face-palmingly bad.

Distorted is a paranoia thriller without thrills and with a boring paranoia plot. Without much story and without any characters worth caring about, it amounts to watching a woman we don't know well or care about running around from place to place doing nothing of consequence for 80ish minutes. the ridiculous synopsis and hilarious cover lured me here, and it didn't disappoint. a 3d studio max default skyscraper, bloated john cusack, lousy cinematography with heaps of misplaced shots, dollies, pans and angles, angles, angles. more angles! make this movie interesting, for fucks sake!!! this is beyond crap. which doesn't mean it can't be thoroughly enjoyed on the right mixture of whisky and rohypnol. like anything in life really. weeeeeeeeeeee!

Christina Ricci does a good job in this movie. Unfortunately the script is bad and there are many slow spots in this film. Overall this film is disappointing.

I got this movie for a dollar at dollar tree and... not really worth that much even. The acting is fine, but the actual script and dialogue feel like they were written by a 12 year old after browsing some conspiracy forums for a weekend.

I love Mystery movies and this one is one more that keeps you guessing until almost the very end.
