You will never convince me that Michael Douglas wasn't in every erotic thriller from 1987-1994. Wanna know how much Sutherland got paid extra to attempt to make-out with the camera.

It's nice to watch a movie that is both sexy and smart. How many of you that have seen this immediately thought I was talking about Dennis Miller?

Completely implausible and ridiculous. 240 ms seek time on a CD drive! 60 mhz screen flicker! Whatever! Oh yeah, I think someone has sex in there too.

Like most men would turn down Demi Moore? Like Michael Douglas would turn down any woman with a pulse? Hilarity ensues.

Maybe it bites off a bit more than it can chew with the gender politics and business backstabbing, but on the whole it does a pretty good job of being an effective and entertaining thriller.

I’m shocked how well this movie holds up being nearly 30 years old as of reviewing. I thought the woke SJW garbage was coined in the 2010’s but it seems these metoo, guilty by association, cancelling and all that good stuff was alive even back in the early 90’s. Mind-boggling. (I’m not saying that the ideology behind metoo is garbage but I think the narrative has been pushed way past any reasonable limits. There is definitely a lot of irreversible damage that mere accusations can cause.)

In Disclosure, the forces of darkness close in on Tom Sanders (Douglas), an executive at a state-of-the-art Seattle computer company, with queasy multiplicity. Inside the deceptively homey brick-and-glass offices of DigiCom, Tom's coworkers are dropping hints that he isn't going to have his job for long, and his PC screen blinks with sinister messages-E-mail from hell.

Takes a while to get going, plodding through thick and uninteresting corporate jargon before the raunchy pivotal scene sets it in motion. Unfortunately, the protagonist's tainted innocence makes him hard to root for, and he was never particularly likeable in the first place-adding a dryness to an already dated and stuffy-feeling film, with its drab 90s office setting and laughable VR animation. Decent legal drama with a couple of good twists manage to keep this film afloat, but only barely.

One of the better adaptations of Crichton's works, though that's not saying much.

A 90's suspense/thriller that tried to be both sexy and edgy. Now looking back, you can't help but laugh at how silly and dated it is. In particular, the virtual reality scenes are laugh-out-loud bad as they reveal how clueless the director is about the underlying technology. It was barely passable then to a largely uninformed public, but now it's just ridiculous to a much more tech savvy generation...

The VR scene is so stupid that it's hilarious, even more today. The movie itself is only popular for one scene (not the VR one though, even when it deserves it), the "sex" one in the poster. Everything else is bad dialogues, plot holes, a complete lack of credibility and pretty much a boring experience. Really hope Chrichton actually wrote something better and this is just the result of a terrible production team. Also... Morricone... where are you?

Playboy model/power bimbo Demi Moore playing...herself! Moore trying to look uncomfortable while delivering the line "he put his penis in my mouth" is priceless. This certainly isn't art, or even a particularly smart script, but it's tawdry enough to be fun and fairly consistently entertaining.

This movie shows the fictional side of sexual harassment, but there is 0% chance of Demi More to make this, much less someone refuse. Not convincing and becomes boring of half to the end.

Good movie, read the book - it gets much hotter than the filmmakers could manage with a PG-13 rating. Also has discussion of wonderful technology way ahead of its time both then and now. Crichton does a great deal of research before writing his witty novels.

From a casting perspective, I don't think you could actually pick a more unlikable couple than Michael Douglas and Demi Moore at the most unlikable height of their careers. What happened to her after About Last Night... besides the new boobs?

This was light years better as a book. A lot of the scenes which they tried to transfer over for a "modern business" effect end up detracting from the core of the story.
