Dimples

Definitely one of the lesser Shirley Temple film. Similar story set up to most of her films but this time the old man she lives with is not very likable. Also all of the other characters are severely underdeveloped this even by the standards of these types of films. Then you get to the end play during which I had to force myself to keep watching and not turn it off as it got real bad, real quick.

Shirley Temple and old uncle Frank Morgan are great together! The story too started strong with the uncle thieving while Temple entertains the unsuspected spectators. She herself don't believe her uncle is a thief, but soon learns the truth and the story takes a different turn where a older lady buys her for $5,000 while Moran wastes his money on scams. Didn't feel we got to know the other people in the story well and the dramatics didn't get as emotional as they should have.
