A decent film, though it's clearly suffered from its localization. It also loses points for the single most awful piece of product placement I've ever seen.

Under Quarantine Film Re-Reviews #120: I absolutely adore this movie. It's terrifyingly dark and scary, I used to get nightmares of Wendigomon and Diaboromon when I was a kid and they still creep me out. It's not all perfect, the segments with Tai are miles better than the next-gen which is full of cringe characters and dialogue, but the action is grandiose and tense throughout. The introduction of Omnimon was a milestone of my childhood, still gives me goosebumps.

one of my fav movies ever. even more with anaconda intro. such better writing especially the humor. wish the show was always written more like this. still love the animation. will and koko make me cry. it's cool seeing the new characters and crazy new digivolutions before i rewatch series 2, which i hope has this sora+tai joe-mimi kari+davis romance as much as i wish kari ended up with tk lool. love terrier and gunbunny, koko, flamedramon, hawk and halse. goldens no where near warps. 100minus3rd

If three unconnected movies that are barely connected by a plot thread that's nowhere in the original versions of the first two movies aren't your thing then you are in a good place, avoid this movie.

An interesting exercise when one looks at the film in regards to its editing and design, the movie's butchering of its source material actually comes off as flattery; translating in American puns, but also leaving the sincerity of the original work. It also helps that this version's musical score is beyond beautiful. Ultimately, the minced storyline is made up for by the almost music video-esque re-editing which gives the film a frantic visual pace that actually compliments the original work.

Absolute nonsense. At least Mamoru Hosoda went on to do great work.

Took three shorter movies and tried to tie them together with a loose plot -- the result wasn't any good. Plays out like a slightly better animated version of the TV show, which itself didn't get good until season 3.

This movie is odd. The crying kids early on are creepy. But the intro is like, half the film. What the hell?

Second part, with Tai, was the best. First and third...not so much. There were some pretty funny lines in this one though I gotta admit.

This American adaption combined a few of the japanese movies into one. Better to watch them all individually (although not all are good).

I liked this animated film a lot. I watched the first season of the Digimon show, so I was familiar with the set-up. I dunno why, I just liked how it was done. Almost goosebump inciting at times.

Much like the show itself, the only good stories in this movie are the ones that feature Tai and the gang.
