The great Hollywood director Otto Preminger did only one film in his native Austria. Let's just call it practice, for it's hardly a successful piece, and it would be 5 years before he'd made another one, then in America. Production wise it's simple straight forward filming, but the story is puzzling. Doesn't really grip, and the film fails there. Thankfully the experience didn't put him off film maker all-together.
