Stylish conspiracy thriller benefits from the freshness of the Russian setting, as well as Bleibtreu's likable performance as the Hitchcockian everyman on the run, who thankfully doesn't turn into a superhuman action hero when the chips are down. Takes its time to get moving, and arguably never cuts the tension loose as well as it should; contrived and predictable plotting means most of the 'twists' are well and truly telegraphed. Still an engaging and absorbing experience.
