Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome

For the last of the 1940s Dick Tracy films they finally hire a big name for their villain. Boris Karloff as Gruesome! He looked like a real British thug! And they had some sort of time-stop gimmick, which came in very handy for bank heists. So quite a bit of old school camp to love! Shame that RKO didn't continue doing these films. I appreciated the four they made.

my third go for tracy in the 40's and this time it didn't suck. this one is a bit more comic book-ish, partially because byrd isn't nearly as bland as conway was and partially because of karloff, but most of the points i gave it were because of that nerve gas, what i wouldn't give for some of that stuff.
