Deutschland im Herbst

Meandering docudrama is frustratingly unfocused and unsatisfying, despite the interesting philosophical ideas running throughout the film, especially dealing with the subjective nature of morality and the after-effects of sudden violence. The multitude of directors means the inevitable abrupt switches in tone are a little disorienting; more problematic is the best (and most intriguing) segment is the first, with Fassbinder in his element as both director and bleary star.

Alemanha no Outono estreava há 45 anos no Festival de Berlin. Até a a presente data este me parece o filme mais interessante sobre a questão Baader Meinhof, ao lado obviamente da obra-prima da Von Trotta, Anos de Chumbo. Misto de documentário com ficção, achei particularmente brilhante a alusão à Antigona e a impossibilidade de um enterro digno dos rebeldes. Box Versátil Novo Cinema Alemão.
