OK final battle, but the rest of the movie is far more boring than a movie called "Destroy All Monsters" should be.

King Ghidorah gets worked over like he keyed Godzilla's Porsche.

On paper this movie sounds a lot more entertaining. I was looking forward to some crazy monster mayhem but ended up with one scene where Ghidorah gets curbstomped and... well, that's about it. Considering how much time is spent with boring humans this movie's title does not accurately portray the contents, and I broke my monocle in undignified rage upon discovering this deception. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about Godzilla bringing his infant to a hate crime against alien dragons.

Godzilla has to fight aliens and Ghidorah, again. This time he brought the whole damn crew to whoop some ass. Why or how he has a son, I don't really want to know. Oh and yellow jumpsuits are the official clothing of 1999 Japan.

The gorgeous miniature work, the awesome matte paintings, and a third act that ranks among the greatest of the entire Shōwa era, sadly, don't make up entirely for the slog it takes to get to all the good stuff.

About as suspenseful as watching a dust particle float through the air. The miniatures are quite bad, the monsters make way too much noise, but woah that end fight. All hell breaks loose then; all the 800 earth monsters gang bang that poor alien monster while shouting and screaming. What the fuck. And Gojira's son, I'm sorry, looks a little retarded.. Well, all the monsters kind of do

I'm constantly surprised how much attention these movies give to the inane plot. Way too much human time for a title this awesome.

The most monster-filled and most spectacular of the Godzilla films, with some great setpieces and a fun James Bond feel.

Irresistible for kaiju fans. (The rest of humanity can go fuck itself.)

My video collection is small, but this is proudly part of it. Camp, dumb and badly made, it has ALL the monsters (including son of godzilla). how can you pass this up?

It's a hard film to rate; what scale should be used? Is it a good, classic monster movie? Yes. Is it a good movie standing on its own? No. The plot is outlandish, the dialogue truly crap, and of course it's just guys in rubber suits beating on each other. But it wasn't meant to be Citizen Kane, it's meant to be Kaiju. So it's hard to fault it for being exactly what it was meant to be. Still, I can't rate it high; it's just too silly.

Even though I am not a Godzilla expert, there is enough to entertain in this "best of" Toho flick. Much of the story centers around some space invaders and a spaceship that the production must have been very proud of as it is featured A LOT. These aspects are less interesting than all the monsters beating down Ghidorah.

Sad that they're not even trying to write characters anymore. Just some vague events surrounding the special effects spectacle. Also lol at Minilla being useless as always

Another entry in the 'Zilla series about an alien race that initially use the monsters to conquer earth by having them wreck havoc in various world cities. These sequence unfortunately are disappointingly short. The whole human plot about the aliens drags due to too much explanatory scenes. But again luckily the last 15 minutes of highly amusing action with a small dozen of known and lesser known kaiju fighting Ghidorah make up for most of the shortcomings in the human plot leading up to it.

While the plot feels a little like a rehash of Ghidorah (with the aliens attempting to control Earth), it's the final monster battle that makes this one special. (Or maybe the boring zipping back and forth to moon base makes any appearance of the creatures so much more enjoyable.)

The main appeal of this movie is you get to see the majority of the Toho monster (though many of them are cameos).

While this does end up being a fun romp with all the monsters we've come to know and love I still can't help but feel a lot of potential was left unrealized.
