Desperate Measures

It's not bad, it's just not that good. It has a good idea, some pretty good acting, and great characters, but it's ultimately bogged down by a lot of corny stuff. I mean, c'mon, Michael Keaton growls at the dog? That was just stupid. Little stuff like that here and there really gives the movie a goofy, almost camp feel. And they were so close with this one. :(

Keaton is fun... But alas, it features Andy Garcia so I was well prepared for an inevitable turkey...

An oddball item in the increasingly old-fashioned-seeming 1990s Hollywood action-thriller pantheon, Desperate Measures is a convoluted and far-fetched story if there ever was one, and although its unabashed ludicrousness almost fails the enterprise, it starts right off and never slows down, not even by the final shot. Nor is it a chance to waste seeing Michael Keaton have a ball playing a psychopathic serial killer single-handedly throwing a monkey wrench into everything.

As expected cool bad guy good good guy. No real twists, but the bad guy did have some cool moves.

Didn't really grab my attention, but at least I got to like the bad guy. That counts for something.

Amusing

One cool explosion, & couple cool scenes. Starts slow & can't keep a pace because of punctuations of crappy sob story & too few bodies. Michael does okay, opening credits & ending rock.

Michael Keaton plays a surprisingly good badass villain, and you have Brian Cox and Andy Garcia doing their thing, but the movie the surrounds that set of performances is mostly raw sewage on celluloid....this cold have been done much better.

What is so good with this movie? It is not a story, everything is mediocre or bad but one thing.... It is Keaton final finding himself in this acting..He always play some comedy or romantic and always he was grim face.... His grim face is final meet right spot in this movie...
