George Brent in trying to court stage actress Verree Teasdale find out she's got a daughter. Realizing how old Teasdale is he switches targets and goes for the young and innocent daughter Jean Muir. Brent always the gentleman! Okay, it's not anywhere as sleazy as it sounds. Sadly. But Muir's naive performance makes this overly careful story come alive!
