A marching band of Germans, Italians, and Japanese march through the streets of swastika-motif Nutziland, serenading "Der Fuehrer's Face." Donald Duck, not living in the region by choice, struggles to make do with disgusting Nazi food rations and then with his day of toil at a Nazi artillery factory. After a nervous breakdown, Donald awakens to find that his experience was in fact a nightmare. (imdb)

Unlike so many other propaganda pieces - this one is actually laugh-out-loud funny. And you haven't lived until you've heard Donald Duck Heil Hitler.

I wish cartoons like this would be made about current events nowadays.

An important work. Disney's depiction of life under Hitler is if anything too generous, given what we know now, but this cartoon with a message is a great piece of wartime satire. Donald's frustrated "everyduck" personality is perfectly utilized, and Spike Jones and the City Clickers are as subversive as ever.

Surreal and hilarious. One of many banned animated shorts produced during WW2. Check it out for racial stereotypes and Donald Duck saluting a picture of Hitler while wearing a Nazi uniform.

For a propaganda piece it is a masterpiece but it is still shitty in all other regards.

A desperate dispatch from a world whose future was genuinely in question. It still has that implacable reined-in feeling of most Disney shorts; the gags are unclever and badly timed.

A bizarre but entertaining WWII era cartoon with Donald being put into a very weird situation.

It's brilliant, but I would prefer if it had like... 1 minute less.

"Donald Duck in Nutzi Land" aka "Der Fuehrer's Face" is quite a funny WWII American propaganda film - and I simply adore Donald's voice. The U.S.-flag pajamas and the shiny little Statue of Liberty statuette on Donald's desk were a little on-the-nose though.

Incredible animation makes this effective propaganda, though the racism towards the Chinese smarts a little today.

Showing signs of the Second World War mood it was created in, it does suffer as an entertaining piece of animation instead of a fascinating document. Despite these problems, it is a surreal mocking of Nazism which is made even better by the inspired title song by Spike Jones and the City Clickers.

It was my impression that Walt Disney was actually a nazi sympathizer, so this excellent piece of anti-Hitler propaganda doesn't really make sense in that aspect. However, it's fascinating either way.

Haha, stupid Nazis. Actually, it's pretty enjoyable for a propaganda piece, but it's still a propaganda piece and that ending, uhh.
