A German movie about the King Frederick II. The movie wasn't bad, but with me it never set a root. Don't know exactly why. The movie has got qualities, but I was never mesmerized by the story and with that made it a boring experience. Otto Gebühr as the old king was the lone savior. He portrayed the king in 16 different movies and several stage plays, so this was a role he knew well and that showed. It's probable a movie that deserves more praise, but not from me on first view.
