Demonwarp

A basic low-rent horror movie with some decent enough monster effects, but overflowing with plot. Unfortunately, the bloated alien-Bigfoot-zombies plot is surprisingly boring, but at least the movie included just as much of a gratuitous level of 80's slasher style bodacious "plot" to at least make something about the movie exciting. Bigfoot and bad B-movie enthusiasts could certainly do worse elsewhere than here with this extra-terrestrial Sasquatch & friends boob filled snooze.

Starts off as a formulaic monster movie with a bunch of dumb teens stuck in the woods, then about-turns into a weird zombie/sci-fi mashup. Neither part works especially well.

At first Demonwarp gives us some formulaic 80's slasher moments; killer sasquatch stalks a group of twentysomethings and kills them off one by one. Fine. Then the zombies show up. Oh and did I mention that the sasquatch is an ALIEN? Well it is, and it can turn it's victims into other killer sasquatches and/or zombies. Despite all that (and George Kennedy) I was bored to tears.

Demonwarp is a pretty standard cheap monster/slasher knockoff of a dozen more successful films. Until it takes a late turn and has some genuinely intriguing ideas which is why I give it some points and not none points.

Another ineptly entertaining movie that I can see why they are becoming Cult favorites but I just can't rate these films super high.
