A terrible movie but not a terrible time. Decent effects, Carpenter/Goblin inspired score. Feels simultaneously stuck in the eighties and foreshadowing of what's to come with nineties horror (the worst of all horror). Worth checking out if you like SyFy's Face Off when their monsters aren't quite camera ready. Features the best impromptu game of kick the can I've ever seen on film.

A cheap and silly but at times kinda-almost creative or interesting Evil Dead ripoff that for some reason has two of its characters enter the movie as karate-using magicians to a shitty synth rendition of Ride of the Valkyries (featuring capes and a summoned bunny) and has someone else turn into a doll that bleeds and then explodes and everyone's just kinda cool with it. Some decent make-up effects. Weak everything else.

"Demon Wind"(1990), aka 'Lucifer's toot,' aka Satan 'shoots a fairy,' aka the anti-Christ 'cuts the cheese,' aka Beelzebub's 'bottom-burp,' certainly 'blows' in more ways than one. However, like being stuck on a long road trip, in a hot car, with your dad and the windows locked, if audiences are able to endure the eye stinging pain while basking in the film's sour, putrid, nightmare-like qualities, there is a strong note of so-bad-it's-good fun to be found underneath all the shit.

Demented mash-up of Evil Dead and Troll 2 that somehow ends up almost an American Hausu (but that "almost" makes a huge difference). One of those films where you can tell the director has watched a lot of movies and tried to copy what they did, but never quite understood WHY they did them.

A goopy Evil Dead set in a field. Demon Wind has a semblance of a plot, but its main concern is putting the protagonist's friends in harms way. He has a lot of friends willing to drive out to the middle of nowhere without telling them why as well as two that are freelance magicians. Their grand entrance is probably the scene of the film.

While parts of it are endearingly stupid & there are some things to enjoy, ultimately this feels like a half-baked Night of the Demons knockoff with some notes of Evil Dead sprinkled in- except it's missing pretty much everything interesting about both of those movies. The story is complete nonsense that becomes irrelevant quick anyway, as all the focus is put on random kill scenes & demon transformations. It'll blow 98 minutes just fine, but there's honestly no reason to seek it out.
