Demon House

After they sold the film rights separately and wouldn't sit for interviews, I was determined to expose their demon house hoax! But then some of their relatives agreed to get possessed for my cameras, along with my crew. And the money train was back on track! Cha-ching!

A messy slog. It was shot in weird order and it rarely ever doesn't feel like complete bullshit. It's either actors acting badly, people trying to cash in, or the shottiest "evidence" ever recorded by any of these paranormal shows. I tend to like these dumb paranormal hunting shows (even though I don't believe in them) and I even liked Bagan's first documentary. He's such a blatant fucking huckster though that I can't even find guilty pleasure in this.

If you are scared by the prospect of listening to Zak "Bilbo" Bagans's I-take-myself-way-too-seriously-so-should-you power-droning for ninety commercial-less minutes, then by all means watch Demon House, as that is quite literally the most frightening thing that happens. A movie so cursed, they couldn't release it until two years after wrapping filming? I'm not laughing with you, Zak, I'm laughing at you. Wait, this wasn't a comedy?

I mean..., bitch, please.

Really effective movie. I believe in its curse, I had a stomach ache and tooth ache after viewing it, just be warned! Loved Zak's narration and there's a mix of healthy skepticism mixed in for good measure.

Ghost Adventures is one of the few programs that I actually watch. If you're a fan of that you will probably really like this, if not, you'll hate it.
