The realism is uncanny and the story is fascinating enough to keep you watching... but what's the message here? All Americans will rally behind the prospect of a Muslim assassin? Don't kill Bush or the Patriot Act will become permanent law? The film trips halfway to the finish line and can't quite muster the strength to be anything of much importance.

The idea was neat, and the way some of the footage was put together was interesting, but... the realistic parts were undone by some really convoluted stuff, and some laughable acting. Someone's review here raised a great point - if it was a REAL documentary, it would've been boring as shit.

First of all I think this was a sick idea for a movie. That being said, of course it could really happen, but would it go down like that? I'm not the one to judge whether it would or wouldn't. It seems as if the makers of the movie are trying to point out that it could be worse with Dick Cheney as president and our civil liberties could become even more compromised. Not that I would disagree with that, but I can see why this would offend some people. This movie is NOT for someone who gets

A good premise, and a nice delivery. This is nice as a record of public sentiment towards Bush, but as an actual movie it's a little flat.

Nothing very special with this one.

An alternate historical take on the assassination of President Bush is a drama disguised as a documentary. It's refreshing in that it doesn't try to push any political message too hard. Especially great for any history buff.

The title gives you the basic outlining of the story, President Bush is assassinated in this mockmentary. The story is decently told, the steps the Government would take seem credible with recent events, and for that, it is an alarming look in how our societal ideals can and are shaped. The story never affects one on a personal level, and that is its biggest weakness. Without that emotional attachment, it becomes mostly a flick to enjoy one evening and not a truly thought provoking piece.

Politically noncommittal and dull. But that's exactly the problem with this 90-minute piece of cinematic trompe l'oeil.

Interesting and obviously deliberately provocative idea. However, it came across like a thinly veiled attack on Muslims. The characters are really annoying people. If this was a real documentary, I would have been bored out of my mind.

Interesting mock-umentary examining the assasination of George Bush in 2008. It is incredibly well put together with stock footage and actors and poses some interesting questions to the viewer.

Largely underrated, the fact/fiction fuse really came out nice and the whole thing is neatly put together.

A mockumentary about Bush getting shot. It tackles the idea of violent protest, among other things. It paints things mostly in a gray area but Bush is actually painted in a fairly positive life, considering the shit that gets said about him. It's true to life in a lot of ways.

Well made and well edited. It was okay as a drama, with some very good inverview performances. However, for a film with so much potential to polarize emotionally, the rather banal message was underwhelming. All-in-all, worth watching if you're not easily bored.
