Poetess Efrat Mishori's first feature film deals with motherhood-in-absentia, as well as poetry, truth and the limitations of language. The interrogated Yasmin strongly evokes Dreyer's Jean D'Arc, and the entire interplay between her and Lenny is a "Persona" for Israel. On a shoestring. The seasoned Evgenia Dodina and impressive newcomer Samira Saraya are supported by a cast of well-placed non-actors.
