Deadpool 2 is just as much fun as the first movie, with a bigger budget. The acting is all pretty good, the effects and characters are done well, and the humor from the first movie is still there. I loved Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz' Domino. The whole movie is just paced really well and it's very aware of itself. Like the first movie, it's made how a Deadpool movie should be made. If you like the character, you'll enjoy this for sure.

More of the same. When every character is a quippy wiseass, things just kinda blur together. Would've enjoyed this more if it didn't turn into some redemption story for an asshole kid I couldn't care less about. Knowing the comics becomes a disadvantage because I'm grumpy at how uninteresting Cable was and for using the Vanisher as a throwaway gag (his power would've looked nifty, methinks). Domino was cool. Everything else, ehh. It just didn't aim high enough. Ha, gun puns! ...I'll get me coat.

The first "Deadpool" felt burdened by the rigamarole of the obligatory origin story and character introductions, but in round two, we see a flowering of what had been planted. The action is great, the comedy is greater and Brolin's Cable is a hell of a straight man to Deadpool's six year old child jokes. I loved every minute of it.

I think I may have some of that 'Domino' luck the way I saw this movie; the perfect storm of sitting around baked on a lazy Sunday afternoon and stumbling upon it just as it was starting on cable. So like I don't know if I really loved it, or if I just lucked into scratching the right itch at the perfect time, but either way, it was a little better than the first for me. *Looks into camera* But you, if you liked the first one, watch this one too...if you want...I guess...fuck, quit asking me.

Deadpool 2 is what a sequel should be. Bigger but not outrageously bigger.

Yes, Yes...a million times YES. This film left me wanting more, but in a good way, I wish we could insert Deadpool into more films. If you would have asked me in 2014 if I wanted to see a Deadpool film, I would have responded with a half hearted "Sure" Now I need at least 8 more Deadpool films to be satisfied. Also, hands down the greatest post credits scene ever.

More of the same, which is an ok thing in my book. Hyperviolent slapstick with enough fourth-wall-breaking metahumor to choke a horse. The X-Force death sequence was an absolute scream.

My biggest complaint with the first installment was, that for all its clever and funny subversion of superheroes, it was basically just another generic origin story. Well; GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY! This time around they've scaled back story to the "bare minimum" setting and as a result this superhero-spoof flows much, much better. The X-Force deployment scene gave me the biggest laughs, I've had in a long, long time at the movies.

I mean...shit it was awesome. Deadpool 2 is really just the first one with a bigger budget, it's even referenced a few times. The movie is fairly predicable, and it kind of does play on some jokes from the first one, but you're gonna have fun. The writing still superb, even with a new team behind it, Dennison and Brolin playing their respective roles (kid and Cable) and despite being longer, the movie never slows down and quite frankly it's hard to imagine this being better than it is.

I liked it as much as the first, but I feel like such a snob for not finding these movies hilarious. I saw it with people who laughed out loud constantly, so it definitely works for the target audience. I guess I'm just not that into Deadpool! The sheer number of jokes guarantees a few chuckles, but a majority go for the low-hanging fruit and you can see the punchline coming from a mile away. The action is good, but the very nature of the movie removes a lot of suspense and consequence.

Deadpool was definitely lightning in a bottle, but this is about as close as you can come to doing it again. They made the right move and didn't market everything, because all the surprises and fun cameos made for a great watch. Reynolds nails the fun, Brolin nails my favorite marvel character and Zazie Beetz's Domino is also a huge highlight. Good fun, but definitely a couple notches down, in terms of humor and story.

"Pass some more time with Deadpool" the movie. Hews pretty close to blueprint of the 1st. If U want more of the same U'll get it but no great originality, revelations or surprises. Doesn't do anything much funnier, grosser, cleverer NOR WORSE than DP1. Hence U know exactly what U R going 2 get. Brolin & Beetz fit in fine but all still hangs on RR's performance ( with extra heart & sex appeal whenever Bacarin is on screen) If U R like me, your Score for DP2 will be within 5% of Ur score for DP1

Possibly the most interesting characters I've seen in a superhero movie since Suicide Squa...No. This was a good action movie that maintained an upbeat vibe and kept the chuckles coming. Having said that...It felt an awful lot like treading water. A pleasant sort of treading mind you, but there seemed to be absolutely no point to the endeavor at all. I am an old man and seemingly older by the movie.

The distasteful opening mercenary montage makes for a poor start, but then tragedy strikes, sans punchline, and sets off a tonally wild (compare the gruesomely uproarious botched landing with Wade's lengthy emotional vision) but always potent film that never feels disjointed: the boldness of the risque humour is now shared with the drama, to great results. Deadpool is as wisecracking as ever (Cable's a perfect straight-man for him) but now he's been smartly surrounded by an engaging story.

Its showing good features of 1st movie but also get ridded off the bad features of 1st movie. So naturally you've got far better movie. And this movie its a great example for "you can have both emotional depth and absurd action-comedy in the same time"... You can take your movie and story seriously but you can also be funny too. Great movie. Fake dying sequence was just too long. CGI was very very bad. And movie its a bit unnecessarily long. Besides these neg facts.. Its a solid work.

The 1st act has a very funny joke where Deadpool makes a generalization about "old white men" being rapists. Any character of any race could make this joke & it would naturally be greeted w/ laughter. Now imagine Deadpool making a joke that generalized black men of any age as being violent. Many would protest & brand the filmmakers "racist" & very few would dare to publicly defend the joke. Just saying. The movie is everything fans of the 1st film could want w/ a very clever mid-credits sequence

The first act feels extremely trite. The action that motivates the narrative of the film emotionally suffers from feeling overly serious and melodramatic, an issue that is amplified when juxtaposed with the light-hearted, zany nature that Deadpool typically embodies. However, the film recovers spectacularly. The comedy is consistently humorous and the action is consistently fun. More impressively, the emotional moments later in the film do feel legitimate and justified despite the rocky start.

Deadpool 2 is a funny movie filled with some good action, an engaging supporting cast, and a solid plot. If it stutters, it's from some inconsistency and with several of its jokes failing to land. It feels a little stale compared to the breath of fresh air that was the first film. Is that enough to significantly diminish the fun? No, it's not. Deadpool 2 is a lot of fun, and if you liked its predecessor, this is more of what you enjoyed. You'll have a good time with it, too.

About equal to 2016's offering, save for not being quite as funny, instead opting to improve some areas where the first lagged behind - better, more fleshed out villain(s), and a better story. Brolin is a great Cable (and what a year he's having!), Zazie Beetz brings to life a great new character in Domino, and I did not for one second get that feeling of "Well of course it isn't hitting me the same way this time, it's the second time around". The universe is still fresh, funny, and impactful.

Deadpool 2 is good fun but not quite the unexpected blast that the first film was. But I am satisfied with this sequel and I think it's as enjoyable and entertaining as it needs to be. I wasn't particularly invested in the plot and some of the story beats felt misplaced. And whilst still very funny I don't think the humour lands as often. Reynolds is prefect once again and Brolin, Beetz & Dennison are fun additions whilst the action and set pieces are both enjoyable and impressive throughout.

Started off great but quickly fell apart afterwards. There's a moment in the film where Reynolds says: "you're so dark", a line that couldn't be more accurate to describe this sequel. The serious tone went against the whole notion of what made the 1st one so much fun and whenever they did go 'full Deadpool', it just fell flat, like telling an inappropriate joke at a funeral. David Leitch & Chad Stahelski would've been an interesting directing duo had they not gone their own way after John Wick.

Gives fewer shits than the first movie, throwing in arbitrary plot devices and characters while immediately calling itself out. However, the peak laughs in this one exceed the original. The X-Force scene has to be one of the greatest subverted build-ups of all times, and the X-Men A-team wanting nothing to do with Deadpool is hilariously in character. The first had a great action scene, but overall there was so much they had to build up, telling his origin and developing the things around him, leading to an awkward pacing in the middle. I enjoyed Deadpool 2 more than its predecessor. Almost all the humour worked for me. The higher budget used to achieve more varied fight scenes in varied locations was an improvement. Making the romantic element a character motivation rather than a major plot point kept the film fresh. Less T.J. Miller was nice. Dennison as the angsty uncouth kid, and Brolin's brooding Cable were a good balance to Deadpool's irreverence. Beetz's Domino was also a good addition. Family Fun!

Smartly minimizing the original's stock-character co-stars (those amusing credits weren't just a gag; they were a lampshade), the sequel expands Deadpool's world in a satisfying way, free from the burden of crass attention-grabbing and table-setting. This is as good a sequel to Deadpool can be. Amazing new performances (both Josh Brolin and Zazie Beetz kill it), smarter, twistier script offered as a novelty yet unlike the first movie, the "meta" quality doesn't strike the viewer as perfectly. That's not necessarily the movie's fault, the curse of the sequel can be blamed. The screenplay (and particular jokes) could have been better/edgier. Overall, still a very pleasant movie.

Deadpool 2 goes on the pile of 'sequels are rarely better than the originals'. DP 2 mostly feels like the former its greatest hits meets 'what the f-ck should we come up with this time'. It's an OK film at best, yet it all feels a tad hollow and stretched. No interesting villain to behold, lame side characters galore, in short Deadpool 2 is a forgettable film. No repeat viewings from me, anyway. They shouldn't have bothered, after the original, which was a fresh change in the genre. No III please

W4E2P1S1V1M2A2R2. Irreverence and fourth-wall-breaking was more deliberate and forced this time, which was less successful than the casual surprising comment in the first one. But still funny, and surprisingly well acted.

The first act feels like filler scraps from the first movie. The rest of Deadpool 2 is less frivolous than its predecessor, which is why it's more tolerable and rewatchable. The second and third acts have a good mix of comedy and action but a lot of unfortunate CGI. Character arcs are too abbreviated. Domino was an unexpected pleasure. Cable was fine. I hope that's not all we see of the rest of the X-Force; it would be a shame if characters with so much possibility are jettisoned so carelessly.

Funnier and smarter and also more emotionally resonant than the first installment (not that that's saying much), with the film allowing some new additions to take some of the heavy lifting from Reynolds.

I'm not a huge fan of the first movie. I found it uneven and sporadically funny, but nowhere near enough to warrant the praise it received. Deadpool 2 doesn't manage to fully salvage those opinions, as I was left groaning by way too many poor gags, but it's definitely a better movie as a whole. Better characters, better plot, better setpieces, no origin story. It makes some poor decisions along the way and struggles sometimes to remain funny, but it's a marked improvement from the first.

A highly enjoyable trip to the movies. Much like the first one some of my favorite bits involve the fact they use some lesser known heroes in fun ways where they would never be used otherwise. Even if X-Men had used Colossus or the spoiler character they would never have been as fun as they were here. Some of the serious moments actually felt sort of off. I don't know if it was just complete tonal clash or something else but luckily they weren't too present to hinder the movie.

As far as pure joke quality goes the first one was probably better but this one has a better story and visuals and more cool characters so we’ll call it about equal. The serious emotion bits were even worse than in the first one though. Zazie Beetz totally runs away with the movie and THAT BIT (by which I mean the many bits that that phrase could refer to, take your pick) was very funny and surprising. ps shut up INDYATMN you fuckin sad act

It was kinda just the same as the first one, but less funny and less interesting. There were some solid jokes in there but there were more that didn't even make me smile. Reynolds is still fun, the supporting cast is fine & there are some really funny cameos, but I came out of it feeling pretty empty. They did attempt an emotional story, but it never really came through for me. Just throw it on the pile of disappointing sequels that didn't (and perhaps couldn't) live up to the hype.

Still funny and entertaining, but not as good as the original. I didn't feel as invested because I didn't care if the kid died.

Overall, better than the first. I didn't enjoy the kid in the beginning, but he became less annoying by the end.

Good fun and they've certainly upped the production value even more. Comedy, characters and action are up there but wasn't a fan of the kid and the plot was a little bit all over the place on ocassion. I liked it but i think I liked the first one a wee bit more.

Manages to make its comedic quips actively insufferable, especially with the moronic attempts at being woke and its incredibly obnoxious villain. The narrative is worse than the first movie. It kills off the love interest almost immediately for a joke, awkwardly writing off the source of drama in the first film for no payoff. This leads into hypocritical attempts at moral lessons, where it preaches that killing is bad which makes no sense given how many Wade kills after reaching this conclusion.

It's more of the same, just way prettier and with an actual story. Still funny, and I appreciate how little the trailers and marketing in general spoiled the actual plot of the movie. But I dunno, I expected something more? This was fine for now and I'm still entertained, but if they do a third one in the exact same style it might venture into annoying-to-watch territory.

With Deadpool I let my bias run wild like Hulkamania. I don't know which one is better but I think it comes down to if you prefer the stronger comedy of the first or like that the second has better characters and some genuine emotion (what?). I just know that Cable and Domino were fantastic, Cable being a great counterpart to DP and Domino having badass chick swag. Great music, and don't get me wrong, this is still hilarious, just not the level of DP1.

So good, I laughed out loud throughout the film and sobbed/cried/shed a tear at the end--on all three viewings. You have to be 35+ for this movie to truly hit home with you.
