TIFF 2024: Great idea for a film & filled with fun (under)world building and sophisticated visual gags. The first half rocked but lost steam (especially as a Midnight Madness film) when it leaned into banal sentimentality and settled on being a feel-good thing instead of just going full chaotic/wacky.
