Das Kalte Herz

Silent production that delayed into the sound era and abandoned, only to be completed over 80 years later. One can call the original 1930s creation a fairly amateur production. But the thing is, it's creative with a lot of heart, taking a lot of inspiration from German Expressionism with some nice fantasy elements thrown in to make it a really enjoyable film. If the narrative was as tight as it could have been, is a different issue. But it's always in the more adventurous aspects it shines.
