There was certainly some redeeming qualities of Das Hofkonzert (1936), especially in some of the elegant images Douglas Sirk captured and the undeniably charm of Mártha Eggerth, but the scenario was a little too light for my taste. At least I got a deeper look at what type of work Sirk did before his entry into Hollywood.
