They edited this movie with that chainsaw.

Clunky in parts, especially where the dialogue's concern, and subtlety, either of character or performance, is almost nonexistent. The action sequences are good, and it's worth a look, but it's not the best film of its ilk, not a long chalk

I didn't expect such interesting symbolism. This film serves both as a prescient warning to Americans of the danger of letting wrath and revenge reach a fever pitch and an intriguing spiritual successor to John Ford's Stagecoach.

Peaks with the chainsaw fight, but solid overall. Jim Brown and Rod Taylor deserved to be bigger stars.

They're supposed to be twists and turns I guess, but it just comes off as tonally inconsistent. Even though, in themselves, its various tones are really interesting, effective and pretty ahead of their time sometimes. Good casting choices.

It was straightforward but still felt disconnected to me. I guess we're supposed to see the experiential growth in the captain. The depiction of Africans seemed exploitative. Fav scene: chainsaw fight.

Em honra dos 100 anos de Jack Cardiff: um dos melhores filmes do Cardiff como diretor e o carisma do Rod Taylor é imenso.

This movie has the one of the best titles for a film ever (no, not "The Mercenaries").

It could have been a lot better without that sentimental rubbish in the end. An underrated obscure film.
