Danny Boy

A showbiz mother returns to the UK in hope to find her son and ex-husband, now homeless working the streets as musicians. A simple little British family film taking advantage of that eternal hymn Danny Boy (1941). Quite enjoyable and it doesn't get too sentimental. Not that it's a films for the ages, but it brings the voice of Ann Todd and the characteristic character actor Wilfrid Lawson making sure it becomes likable.
