Pat Marvin, a photographer/reporter for a magazine gets some pictures of a gambling place and barely escapes with her life. The publisher decides to sell the publication, and the staff, headed by the editor, Larry Burke, get the money together to buy it. Larry and Pat decide to get some pictures of a never-photographed society deb, Cynthia Van Loan, and, in the process, stumble upon a murder, identify the killer, expose the girl's scheming fiancée, and get their pictures. The last Jane Withers picture for a while, as she would get married and have a bunch of kids after this. Can't say it was the best of send-offs. A little out of her element. The movie is one of those typical couple detective movies, and while there was a comic tone to this, it's toned it down a little too much for Withers to shine the way she usually does. Still interesting to see her in a routine production like this, as she usually had her own thing going for majority of her career.
