Dancing in the Dark

I had lots of fun with this film. The film would've been entertaining regardless but William Powell really elevated this for me.

There was a brief point in time Hollywood was blinded by newcomer Betsy Drake after she'd dazzled Cary Grant so much in her debut feature that he married her. For her second movie 20th Century Fox goes all out to promote her as a hot fresh commodity. Don't think anyone was fooled and the film turned-out to be a waste of William Powell's star-power. I'm not saying Drake wasn't talented, for she does shine in brief moments. She just didn't have 'it' as the people around her thought.
